Pleasant Valley Farms

Pleasant Valley Farms grows a large variety of winter squash and pumpkins. There are signs for each variety of winter squash and pumpkins that tell where they originated and if they are good for pies,baking,canning or jams and jellies. Corn and milo shocks, straw bales, 10 acre corn maze, barnyard animals and, and a hay rides. On Friday and Saturday nights try the Hillbilly holler haunted house if you dare. Punkin Chunkin is always a blast to shoot!!!!!

Products

Giant Pumpkin
There are several of the giant size pumpkins that are grown here on the farm. One is the Atlantic Giant, which was introduced by Howard Dill from Nova Scotia in 1978. This variety can weigh over 800lbs, and is the current record holder. The Big Max is a round, bright orange fruit with a very thick orange flesh. This one is good for pies and canning, and can weigh well over 100lbs. The King of Mammoth is an old heirloom pumpkin dating back to pre-1824. It commonly grows to 40-100lbs. and has been known to grow to over 250lbs. The skin is mottled pinkish-orange on yellow. Good for pies.
