Lamppost Farm

Lamppost Farm exists to provide meaningful learning opportunities by engaging in purposeful and productive work, contagious relationships, and the celebration of "good ordinary food". Our goal is to use agriculture and its fruit to build individuals and groups in deeper relationship with themselves, one another, God, and God's creation. Whether raising and processing chickens; growing, making and canning fresh salsa; milking the cow; or turning logs into lumber then into beautiful furniture; experiences at Lamppost Farm enable guests the chance to see with their eyes, hear with their ears, explore with their hands, and understand with their heart. Ultimately, these encounters are to promote healing, hope-building, and a sense of home in the people of God.

Pastured chicken
Lamppost Farm raises chicken on pasture to produce the best tasting and most healthy poultry product around. Our chicken has been sold in restaurants and local butcher shops. Chefs routinely state that they haven't found chicken as good, firm, and clean as the ones raised on our farm. Our chicken is fed a Non-GMO (genetically engineered grains) feed mix because we believe that the health of the animal translates to the health of the person eating the food. Lamppost Farm chickens are sold whole, fresh and/or frozen. We are willing to teach you how to part your chicken so that you can save money and learn all in the same bite!

Pork
Pigs on pasture is one of the greatest demonstrations of alternative farming methods that promote health for the animal, land, and humans that consume the meat. To see a pig frolic in lush grass is to encounter health and play at a level frequently missed. Lamppost Farm pigs are a blend of Berkshire and Hereford breeds to bring the customer flavor and marbling in their pork like never encountered in most retail stores. Our pigs are raised outside on grass their entire lives. They are supplemented with a non-GMO grain ration for growth and balance in their diets. Sold by the whole, half, or quarter. Lamppost Farm pigs are sold as available on a first-come basis.
