Farmer Maps integrates you with farms to provide a user experience where you control to watch farm activity around you, or set harvest reminders for any product on any farm in our database. Farmers have free access so they can use Farmers Maps to save and keep track of each season for each of their products. Farmers always project their seasons early and save their dates early in the new year, then get reminded automatically 2 weeks before harvest to confirm their dates for a chance to make a better harvest prediction. The accuracy of haverst dates sets up the next step: One good week before harvest, you are reminded with a link back to Farmer Maps where you have time to read the farmer's hours of operation & review Google Directions to the farm (with farmer-set GPS accuracy !!) Restaurants will have an edge with Farmer Maps simplicity. Chefs will love this in their busy lives. Trailer for Fresh "There is a new vision of the future that we don't have to wait for - it's a decision that you and I can make right now" Can Farmer Maps change the future? I believe it can. I like to imagine a future where maybe a quarter of the people in your closest city get notification emails when your crops are ready. This is my vision. This could change everything. |

I just added a forum specifically for farmers. If you add a farm to Farmer Maps, you'll see a new menu option for the Farmer Forums. Im hoping to learn from farmers in this forum. |

We've officially launched. We're looking for farmers to add their farms. If there's no farms in your area right now, we're going to show you what to expect when there are. 
This is similar to what Farmer Maps home page will look like when there is at least one farm in your area (click to view picture full size.)
When you come to Farmer Maps, farms are displayed in your area. The map will automatically zoom in or zoom out to fit all the farms on it. The map is a nice snapshot and you'll see where farms are relative to your home location. Farmers are also listed above the map in order of their distance from you. You can see all the products these farms sell and when you click any product you'll see more information which could include price, more description and availability. Farmer Maps also lists all products available now, in your area. This is a great way to find local products very quickly. 
To the right is the view from clicking on a farm. This contains all products information, hours of operation and accurate driving directions from your home.
Read all about this farm here, in the farmer's words. We encourage farms to provide a picture of their farm taken from the road, so when you pull up you know just what to look for. We provide you with GPS coordinates so you can put them into your GPS device if you have one. All of the farmer's products are listed here. The most exciting feature is being able to watch products, where you can set-it-and-forget-it. Farmer Maps will automatically email you when products are available, so you'll never miss products when they are at their peak of freshness. Watching a product also keeps you up-to-date with prices changes, changes in availability dates and more. Read the about page. If you add farms to your favorites, you'll also keep up-to-date with member comments. Here you can read reviews or stories about how people enjoyed the animals and experiences at the farm. Farmers can add as many pictures as they want. We might see pictures of their products, their animals, their inventory, pictures of families, crafts and more! The marker on the map is placed there by the farmer. You can even see the satellite image of the farm! Forget rural route numbers and confusing country addresses, Farmer Maps directions will take you to the exact spot you see to find your favorite farms.
