Farmer Maps is unique. Many websites that support local growers merely list farms, their products, and product availability. Some sites may let you buy products from a website. Many have maps, and a lot of nice pictures of fruits & vegetables. We do too.
Farmer Maps is however also powerfully different. Our site is a dynamic consumer alert system that keeps consumers connected to farms & farms connected to consumers.
It alerts consumers within 100 mile radius of your farm that you exist.
It alerts farmers when consumers select your farm as a favorite, and choose to track your available product offerings online.
It alerts consumers when farms add new products, or make changes to products or pricing information.

Farmers set their own availability dates for each of their products. One common question I get from farmers is, "I don't know my exact availability dates." Well, this is the type of website that saves your information and lets you come back anytime to make adjustments to anything you've entered! Even if you're not sure of your dates now, you can come back later in the season to make availability dates more accurate. Your consumers will find out through automatic notifications every time your dates are updated.
